TPS is the Utilisation of manufacturing methods and resources to produce QUALITY products at lowest COST in the shortest TIME
The TPS Dojo embraces a ?learn by doing? approach to teach trainees about the benefits of implementing TPS.
The course is divided into six steps and is delivered using a combination of lecture presentations and ?Lego Manufacturing?simulations. Trainees will not only learn, but also experience how implementing progressive levels of TPS will improve their own business performance with respect to cost, quality, productivity and Team Member morale.
In addition to the one day training workshop, participants are offered an additional half-day customised tour of Toyota Australia?s manufacturing facility.
The TPS Experience closely aligns with the concepts explored in day one and enhances them by providing synonymous examples of how they are applied in day-to-day operation at Toyota?s vehicle manufacturing plant.
As part of the course, participants will learn the basics of
Toyota?s approach to:
? Reducing inventory and WIP
? Linking production and customer demand
? Levelling production based on volume and variety
? Building in Quality
? Understanding labour allocation and requirement
? Maintaining a culture of continuous improvement
The course is suited to those participants who are new to TPS and those with vast experience.
? A clear understanding of TPS elements and how they relate to each other
? Understand how TPS can be applied to improve your company?s overall efficiency
? Understand the link between cost reduction and TPS
Lecture presentation and interactive manufacturing simulation of six modules:
? Traditional Manufacturing
? Continuous Flow
? Pull System
? Standardised Work & Kaizen
